In My Mailbox is an exploration of what books I brought home this week, and is organized by The Story Siren.
I got a couple interesting books this week...
ARC of Nightshade by Andrea Cremer
While other teenage girls daydream about boys, Calla Tor imagines ripping out her enemies’ throats. And she wouldn’t have it any other way. Calla was born a warrior and on her eighteenth-birthday she’ll become the alpha female of the next generation of Guardian wolves. But Calla’s predestined path veers off course the moment she saves the life of a wayward hiker, a boy her own age. This human boy’s secret will turn the young pack's world upside down and forever alter the outcome of the centuries-old Witches' War that surrounds them all.
ARC of The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff
Mackie Doyle seems like everyone else in the perfect little town of Gentry, but he is living with a fatal secret - he is a Replacement, left in the crib of a human baby sixteen years ago. Now the creatures under the hill want him back, and Mackie must decide where he really belongs and what he really wants.
A month ago, Mackie might have told them to buzz off. But now, with a budding relationship with tough, wounded, beautiful Tate, Mackie has too much to lose. Will love finally make him worthy of the human world?
What did you bring home this week?

I brought home Mockingjay (like everyone else on the planet) and I also have Girl Parts, a book I won on PJ Hoover's blog! I have good reading in my future! :0)
Great books! Both are high up on my TBR list, especially The Replacement. I got this in my mailbox: http://mywordsateme.blogspot.com/2010/08/in-my-mailbox-4.html
I just finished reading The Moorchild (A Newbery Honor book from 1996) about a changling. She too has to decide where she belongs. I am currently awaiting the arrival of Wildfire Run by Dee Garretson which I won from Project Mayhem.
I brought home Mockingjay, but who didn't? I also brought home Speak, but I put it down. It wasn't getting along with me, so to speak. I also brought home the Goose Girl by Shannon Hale, hoping it's good. I'm booked for the day! :D
