Spreading the Library Love

Jenn Hubbard charged anyone willing to participate in a Library Blog Challenge. Since I love libraries, I'm happy to oblige.

So, for every unique commenter on this post, I will donate $0.25 to the Chicago Public Library system. I'm afraid I'm not made of money, so I'll have to cap it at $100. And no commenting 100 times! If you want me to donate more, then spread the love by spreading the word. :)

From now until Saturday, March 28th at noon, I'll be accepting comments - which will benefit libraries!

If you want to participate, feel free! Send me your challenge, and I'll link to it. Now let's start spreading the love!

  1. Hi Tabitha! Thanks for coming by my blog and thanks for supporting libraries. Reading rocks!

  3. I'd have commented here anyway, but I'm all the more eager to do this for libraries!

I've finished The Spectacular Now, by the way, and I thought it was great. The ending was hard, but it was believable and powerful. And now my 14-year-old is reading it, and our remaining kid is next in line... So again, thank you!

  18. I love my library.
I love that I can order a book from any of the area libraries (on line) and pick it up at my library a couple days later.

    To repeat Sara: "Reading rocks!"

  21. This is cool. :) I use my library a ton, it's my main source of books.

  22. A community without a library is like a home without books, empty. Even on little old St. John, back in early '50s when we didn't have electricity, there was a library!

  25. I'm loving all the love! :)

I couldn't live without my library - it's my main source of books, too. So I see this donation as a big ol' thank you for all the books they've loaned me. And the great online system that Jim was talking about. I use that constantly. :)

Living in a city with a lot of poverty - libraries offer a sanctuary, a place to escape the noise and really see the possibilites.

  29. This is wonderful how all of you bloggers are jumping on board in this challenge! Thanks Tabitha for supporting the Chicago Public Library. That's my hometown library and I lived at my local library so much as a child!
